Introduction

Align ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Align mobile application. The app is operated by Abdullah Karacabey, an independent developer based in Türkiye. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

• •Account information: a display name, email address, and profile photo, only if you choose to sign in with Google, Apple, Google Play Games, or Apple Game Center. You can play anonymously without providing any of these.
• •Gameplay data: level progress, stars, words solved, streaks, and your in-app hearts balance.
• •Device information: device type, operating system version, and app version, for crash reporting and compatibility.
• •Usage analytics: feature interactions, session duration, and game events, used to improve the app experience.

Firebase Services

We use Google Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, and backend services. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Data is stored on Firebase servers and may be processed in multiple regions.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Align displays ads served by Google AdMob, primarily optional rewarded ads you choose to watch (for example, to refill hearts or reveal a solution), plus limited between-level ads. AdMob may use your advertising identifier and other data to serve personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings. Users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent screen for advertising, and on iOS the App Tracking Transparency prompt applies before the advertising identifier is used for personalised ads. You can review or change these choices at any time.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and PostHog for product analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error diagnostics. Analytics data is anonymised where possible and is used solely to understand how users interact with the app and to improve the experience. We do not sell analytics data to third parties.

In-App Purchases

Purchases (such as heart packs and a one-time remove-ads purchase) are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not store your payment card information. We use Adapty to validate purchase receipts and manage your entitlements; transaction identifiers and your entitlement status may be stored to deliver, restore, and manage your purchases.

International Data Transfers

Align is operated from Türkiye. The third-party services we use (Google Firebase, Google AdMob, PostHog, and Adapty) may process and store your data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, these transfers are carried out under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children's Privacy

Align is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

• •Access: you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• •Deletion: you can request the deletion of your account and associated data from within the app settings, or by contacting us.
• •Portability: you can request your data in a machine-readable format.
• •Opt-out: you can opt out of personalised advertising through your device settings at any time.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
